Meet our Church Leaders
Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. ~ Hebrews 13:17
Pastor David and Christy Bracken
Pastor David Bracken came to Christ Fellowship in June of 2013 as the Senior Pastor. In 2015 revival began in his heart, in his wife, children and the church body in Pearisburg. It was revealed by Holy Spirit that there was a desperate need to exit from a religious system that demanded masks, entertainment and performance. By the end of that year they had began the process of being joined to a spiritual family. That joining would bring Apostolic government through a spiritual father, Damon Thompson. The Bracken’s and the family of Christ Fellowship are continuing today to be ever increasingly joined as spiritual family through a lifestyle of honor and devotion. In 2016 through the prophetic voice of a spiritual sister, David and Christy were seated as a spiritual father and mother over the New River Valley region. Still in seed form this seat has taken the shape of being spiritual parents to the family that assembles at Christ Fellowship. Through the guidance of Holy Spirit David and Christy desire to raise spiritual sons and daughters that will themselves become spiritual mothers and fathers with a single, solid and rooted identity of Beloved.
Pastor Phil & Jeannette Vickers
Pastor Phil and Jeannette Vickers met at Virginia Tech in the fall of 1973 where they both experienced the saving grace of God through Christ. They began attending Christ Fellowship in August of 1976 right after they were married. In the last couple of years they both retired from careers in education. Pastor Phil became the associate pastor of Christ Fellowship in June of 2014 where he oversees congregational care. He is also very active in ministry at the New River Valley Regional Jail. Jeannette plays the violin as part of the praise and worship team. They still hold fast to the belief that God wants to and will bring 'healing and hope to Giles County and the New River Valley through the message of Jesus Christ'.
Pastor Richie & Wendy Miller
Pastor Richie and Wendy started dating in high school in 1997. They were married in 2000 and have two children, Eden and Christian. They have been attending Christ Fellowship since 2004. They desire that teens and adults alike realize youth are not just the future of the church. They ARE the church.
Hello! I am Lauren Vickers, the Worship Pastor here at Christ Fellowship, where I have been leading since the fall of 2012. I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of 4, and can say that He has been faithful to me! I grew up in Pearisburg and graduated from Liberty University in 2009 with a degree in Spanish. I am currently a high school Spanish teacher. Leading praise and worship is a blessing and honor. Our God is worthy of all the praise and it's a privilege to come before Him in worship.
Rick & Pat Glaholt
Financial Officer and Administrator
Rick and Pat met when they were both employed at the same company. They were married in 1981. They moved to Pat’s home town of Pearisburg the following year. Pat returned to Christ Fellowship where she had worshiped in the past. She brought Rick with her. They both committed their lives to Christ in 1988. Some years later, Rick was elected to the Board of Directors as Church Treasurer. He served for several years. After a hiatus of a few years, during which he received his Master’s Degree in Global Management, he returned to the position of Treasurer. Upon retiring from the business world in 2010, Rick began working in the church office as Financial Officer and Administrator. Recently, Pat assumed the duties of Coordinator of Lay Ministries at Christ Fellowship.
Children's Ministry Leadership
Sam & Lori Bostwick
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) Sam and Lori Bostwick both grew up in Blacksburg. They were married and moved to Pearisburg in 2007. The Bostwick’s began attending Christ Fellowship in 2010. They have two sons who love the outdoors. Through a revival in our church family and their own hearts, God called them to take part in leading the Christ Fellowship Family's children in 2018. They are endeavouring to leave a generational legacy of devotion, prayer, relationship, and proximity with an overwhelmingly loving Heavenly Father for our children.
